Stingless Bee & Propolis

Stingless bee active in tropical and subtropical area, they are less active in the cold weather, and some species can cause diapause. Stingless bees do not sting, but if their nests are disturbed, they will bite to defend their own nest. There are two kinds of nests/combs, that are larvae nest and storage nest. The material used to construct nest is the resin collected by bees called propolis. Usually the larvae nest and the storage nest are separate.
