Stingless bee is a type of black colour bee that looks like a fly, named as Trigona Carbonaria, based on its non poison tail and stingless, The Malay named as Lebah Kelulut.

Stingless bee mainly found in tropical countries, there are about 800 species in the world, and there are 33 varieties in Malaysia.

Trigona bee cup allows the stingless bee to quickly build their comb and then store stingless bee honey. A row of trigona bee cup have eight holes. Normally, bee farmers will put 20 rows of trigona bee cup into a square wooden frame (length: 1 foot, thickness: 2 inches) and then placed above the stingless bee bee hive.

Stingless bee’s honeycomb has two kinds of capsule, which is honeycomb and yellowish pollen. Honey and pollen are separate from the different capsules in honeycomb, if you noticed small holes on the honey capsule, it means it haven’t fully cover with honey yet. It can only use a syringe or electric pumping machine to pump out the honey when the capsule are totally cover.
